The Prime people, Amber and Shawn. Were very friendly and welcomed me with smiles . Had to make some changes when I got there and it was no problem . The hours are great. And it's very clean. Great place to store your stuff.

Overall great experience! I definitely had an easy move in and forgot a lock and the staff member got right on it to get me one and bring it over to the unit for me! Thanks again for such a smooth transition!

Unpleasantly surprised by notice that prepayment would not guarantee free month storage. also taken aback that an insurance fee would be charged.

I've had my 10x25 unit for 5-6 years now. Cleanliness, security and overall appeal were major factors in my decision to go with the previous owners. Rent increases were expected and reasonable over time. When the changeover to Prime was announced, I was fine with that. In fact, I commented to the office person AND Prime corporate person who was on-site, that I was happy the rents remained unchanged. Imagine then, my surprise to receive an email notification of $43 mo/$516 annual increase. Moreso, the gut-punch presence of large 'AFFORDABLE' hanging signs visible everywhere as I drove to the unit that same day. Suddenly, my unit became re-valued as 'prime (or Prime!) real estate, deemed worthy of a $43 monthly increase because of it's 'convenient location' near the entrance. That makes it no longer ordinary, nor affordable (to me.) Now, maybe this is standard practice in the corporate business of rentals, but it was a sobering reminder that, despite all the 'blah blah' about being happy to serve MY storage needs, Prime is still in it for their profit. Okay, I accept my part in becoming complacent over time about paying more for storing 'stuff' of less value. But, now paying for storage is no longer a necessary convenience, it's a 'Prime' dinner table topic with a sour taste. My 'YES' recommendation is conditional, with a 'buyer beware' heads-up to others that even in the world of storage unit real estate, one will pay for the 'drive-up view'.

So far things seem to be well, the office staff was wonderful. My only complaint is that your company will not be offering the pay 5 months and get one free which we have been doing since 2008. This was very helpful as the storage monthly rent is high. I have recommended this facility over the years because of this offer. Please consider bringing it back, thanks.

Really liked National Storage. Someone was always on site, night and day. Since prime has taken over, communication wasnt clear at first. Then they changed the way to enter the gate code and just tapped the instructions at the key pad. Not very clear on how to enter it the new way. Should have emailed the instructions so I would be better prepared instead of trying to figure it out in the dark at 10 at night 10 times.

It's a nice storage place but the prices have gotten really high and I see no reason for it. The unit just sits there collecting money and I'm at the point where I won't be able to afford it. I'm always hunting for a better deal and if I find one I'll have to leave.

It's a good place but has gotten really expensive and I see no reason for it. It's not because of the gas prices or the bad economy. After all, the storage unit just sits there collecting money.

First time renting a storage and the process was quick and easy. The facility is easily accessible with a security gate. It is located right off the freeway which makes it easy to get to. The staff was very helpful, Amber made the process of signing up painless. Both Amber and Summer were polite professional and pleasant making this a wonderful experience.

Do I need to rent a climate controlled unit?

If you have delicate items such as musical instruments, computers, pictures, or antique wood furniture, it is recommended to select a climate-controlled unit. Climate-controlled storage units protect against rust, corrosion, mold, cracking, and warping.

What’s the difference between an indoor and an outdoor unit?
An outdoor storage unit has direct access and is usually drive-up accessible. An indoor unit is located within a building.

What items can't be put in a storage unit?

Most storage facilities will not let you store firearms, perishable items, liquids, illegal drugs, flammable and hazardous materials, live animals, or plants.

Are my items insured while being in a storage unit?

You are responsible for the items you store. The storage facility's insurance protects the location that houses the storage units, not the contents of individual units. If your homeowner's insurance doesn't cover your items, the facility manager can usually help you sign up with an insurance provider.

Can I use my renters insurance for a storage unit?

Anything your renter's insurance policy covers under usual conditions will be covered in your storage unit. Usually, renter's insurance will cover items in a unit up to 10% of your policy limits, but it does not include natural disasters. However, there may be exceptions to this, so check with your insurance company to see if you're covered.

What do I need to bring with me when to rent a unit?

You will need a government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, state ID, or passport) to complete your storage unit rental agreement.

Can I access my unit anytime I want?

Most storage locations are open 365 days a year, but access hours may vary. During access hours, usually between 6 am and 10 pm seven days a week, you can access your unit using your individual gate code. During office hours, company employees are available to answer questions and provide on-site support.

How long can I rent a unit?

Most rental contracts are month-to-month agreements billed in one-month increments. No long-term lease is required unless the customer requests it.
