- My sister recently got a storage unit at Public Storage and encouraged me to do the same when my move date approached. Blake, the manager, is highly exceptional and helpful. He made my move into my storage unit easy and comfortable. I would recommend him and Public Storage to anyone looking to store their belongings.

- My experience at Extra Space Storage was stellar. First, thanks to the site sparefoot.com I was given the cheapest prices per sq ft in the area, and this facility came up. I had done my own sleuthing beforehand, so I knew it was a pretty good price. I did all agreements online, but then called the facility because I couldn’t find my access code. The on-site manager, Mysty, was very helpful with my questions and reminded me that the code is sent the day your reservation begins. She also invited me to stop by the office on move-in day, and she would give me a tour of the facility. She also recommended movers, who turned out to be as good as she said they were! Anyway, the facility was very clean and secure, and I watched a few folks come and go while my team moved my stuff to my designated unit. Everything went smoothly and I was happy to have found a place so well-cared for, only a few miles from my home.

- The place is clean, small management office, doesn’t usually seem to be very much of a wait. I’d say it’s a mid size place compared to other storage facilities around. 3 stories high. You get your own gate code, and most of the units are inside the building, I believe there are some ones located outside in the back also but didn’t get to check. Larry checked me in, and he was a sweetheart. Very reasonable pricing! Very convenient for my move. Really easy to check in, I made an online reservation in about 5 mins or less, and caught a 1 dollar first month move in promotion as well which is nice. & you don’t have to pay 3 months up front for the promotion like you do at some places. Overall I’d definitely recommend!

- Katie at Public Storage has such amazing service! After walking in to check out a storage space I had reserved to finding out someone else had snagged that spot Katie was able to find me another space and still give me the same price I had for my previous space! The Public Storage itself is very clean and has just what I needed for everything I needed to store.

- My 2nd storage experience started out great until I went in to store some things in my unit. The lady (Alicia I think) that helped me decided to switch the floors on my access code so I couldn't get to the 2nd floor. Why she changed it I have no clue but it delayed me from getting to my unit and by then the issue was closed. So I called the number on the website. The lady I spoke with was so helpful. I was taking a risk since I didn't know if she was going to be able to help. She was indeed able to help and confirmed Alicia did move the floors on my access code and moved them back so I could get into the unit. Unfortunately I had trouble a 2nd time same issue what ever was done before was only temporary? But the gentlemen from calling again that helped me went above and beyond on the phone to make sure I didn't have anymore problems. I couldn't thank him enough.

- We arrived from out of town to close our storage unit. Marie and Mike helped us providing a place to move the items to that were outside the building where they could be picked up by 1-800-got-junk. They also ensured we had water (including my dog) and made it easy for us to unload the storage. I would definitely recommend this storage facility.

- Look. Storage is storage. The place is clean and feels safe.
So, why the 5 star rating?
That would be for the topnotch service I received from the young woman who helped. I'm not sure of her name at the moment... it could have started with a Q (?), but I remembered it long enough to sing her praises to your corporate office.
These days customer service generally sucks, so I didn't have high expectations going in. However, I was treated with quick and personable (yet professional) service at the counter.
I was in and out in no time and left in a better mood than when I arrived.
And that's saying something.
My advice? "GIVE HER A RAISE!".
Good help is hard to come by and she's a keeper.

Finding and renting self-storage facilities in Mercer Island, Washington is now easier through MoversCorp. Compare options and rent storage near you with just a few clicks. We provide the convenience of reserving affordable storage units online or by phone. No credit card or long-term contract is required. Consider us as your solution for finding and reserving storage facilities throughout Washington, including options for mini storage units and storage containers to suit a variety of needs. The cheapest storage unit in your area may not always be the best choice. Please consider the following factors when selecting a storage unit in Mercer Island, Washington.
- Monthly rates are based on features such as 24/7 access, climate control, facility security, location, and overall demand in your area.
- For household goods, the most common storage unit sizes are 5x5, 5x10, 10x10, and 10X15. For added flexibility, some companies also offer portable mini storage units for rent for temporary residential use that can be delivered to your property or hauled by you for on-site storage.
- Many facilities offer larger unit sizes for commercial and business storage, like 10x20 or 10x30. These sizes are ideal for storing office equipment, inventory, or business records. These sizes can also accommodate vehicles, making them a great option for car storage.
- Most storage facilities require insurance for stored items. If you don’t have your own policy, you may need to buy one through the facility, adding about $15 to $50 to your storage rental cost each month. Some places also charge a refundable deposit or an administrative fee when you move in. Always ask about these costs and refund conditions before signing a lease.
- Storage facilities with flexible leases allow you to rent on a month-to-month basis. Be aware that storage unit price increases are common. Many customers say their rates go up after a few months, sometimes more than once a year. Since storage rentals are month-to-month, facilities can raise prices with proper notice. Ask about potential rate increases before committing to a unit.
- The monthly rent will also depend on whether a facility offers climate-controlled units or only drive-up units. Climate-controlled units cost more than drive-up units or storage containers.
- Most locations have digital keypad access, which provides you with your personal access code. Check with the office for availability.
- Consider drive-up access for easier loading and unloading, especially for heavy or bulky items.
- Some facilities may provide extra room or rental space for public use, such as areas for organizing or handling your stored items. Contact the property manager to confirm availability.
- Check for online reviews and recommendations.
- Ask the office about the preventive security measures for safeguarding the location.
Are there free storage deals in Mercer Island, Washington?
Many companies offer promotions for new customers, such as a free first month. Search by your zip code or distance to locate cheap storage units that come with the first month free and other decent storage discounts. Take advantage of specials if you're a first-time renter.
How do I find the cheapest storage in Mercer Island?
You can sort by price, from low to high, to find affordable options on our website. Away from the city center, you have a better chance of finding inexpensive storage rental solutions. The facility's size and amenities affect the monthly price.
What is the difference between an indoor and outdoor unit?
You have easy access to your unit when it is an outdoor unit. If the unit is indoors, you must first enter the building to get to it.
What is the difference between office hours and gate hours?
The property's operating hours are during office hours. The store manager will be on duty to help you with your questions. If you have questions or need help outside these hours, look up the property's phone number to contact the leasing office directly. The gate hours determine when you can enter the property and use your unit.
