- My experience with Sparefoot was positive, but direct customer service before and afterwards by the Local Storage company has been awful. Calls weren’t returned, despite the recorded assurance that I’d here back within 24 hours. I paid online, received a gate code and unit number, 027. The unit was dirty but I had items to store with me, so I stowed them and put my lock in the door. The next day I returned with two car loads of items and a friend to help. When we got there there was a second lock on the door so we had to turn around and leave. I called and used Local Storage website to leave an urgent message. The website wouldn’t upload my message, and no one returned my call. I lost at least two days access to my unit. If this isn’t resolved soon, I’ll have to post a negative review. I am 72, disabled, and live on a small monthly income. This is already costing me more than what I’ve already paid.
