- Pricing is deceptive. The price varies, depending on where you located are when you search for a unit. There were two price increases in less than 12 months. I reserved a first floor unit for a specific move in date, but when I checked-in, I was given a second floor unit, with no forewarning or explanation or Before I moved a single item into my storage unit, I decided to rent a larger unit, the first month free offer was not honored on the larger unit because I was considered an "existing" customer. I moved out on the 2nd of the month but was charged for the full month. There are only 2 elevators for 1200 units and at one time, one or both elevators are frequently out of order. I would not recommend Public Storage based on my experience.

- I purchased a 40 foot covered parking spot for my 35 foot boat. 35 feet from end of engine to tip of the tongue. When I arrived and put my boat in to spot C037, I could not get my boat fully under the cover. The utility trail behind me in C038 was parked all the way to the back of his side. That left only 30 feet of actual covered parking area for me. I have now spoken with your customer service four times. Trying to explain the situation. They state that the person in C037 only has a 25 foot spot. Very easy, he needs to move up 10 feet. The property manager claims I need to pay for a bigger spot. You can’t make this dumb up. 40 ft spot…35ft boat and trailer. Not rocket science. Make the idiot in 038 move his trailer up, give me a true 40 ft spot, or give me all of my money back plus $200 for the hassle of moving my boat again to a different storage area. You decide. I’ve been trying to get this figured out for 3 days.

- I was lied to and told that I would be given a climate controlled unit that was a pull up space. The space I was given is climate controlled but it is inside a building and down a hallway! I rented a truck to have my items dropped off at the door to the unit and instead had to pay someone to help me move the items into the space because i could not do it on my own as planned. Then they applied insurance to my unit without my permission, even though I have homeowners insurance that covers it. And when I found out it took them so long to get the credit on my account that they charged me late fees because I said I wouldn't pay until my account had the credit applied! Horrible customer service, and they do not keep their employees accountable for what they promise to their customers. I will not use them again and I would not recommend that anyone else used them either! So disappointed in their services.
