- The guy that delt with our “situation” today was very helpful. BUT…. we have been storing stuff in this unit for over 6 months now and went in today to start taking stuff out to finally move onto our home that has been being renovated and it was 100% covered in mold…. I can not even begin to express how pissed I am. Not even a call from the owner or offering free storage for the inconvenience of moving all of our shitt out and into a new unit on the hottest day. We were given a new room at the same price ( wow so great) $10,000 worth of clothes, furniture, baby items, pictures, couches, lamps, ect. Oh and we can’t even use the dumpster to get rid of the stuff so once we have the adjuster come out we have to move it AGAIN. Oh and the insurance pays up to $500 lol what a JOKE. Don’t store your stuff here you might as well give your belongings for free and buy new, it would save you the head and heart ache. In my case a lawyer is worth it.

- My daughter is a student at Monmouth University and this is the second time we've used Life Storage in Ocean Township to store her stuff for the summer. This time I did everything online (reservation, rental agreement, insurance) and they emailed access to the gate and directions to our space. All we had to do was drive in, park in front of our space and pull up the door. A lock was waiting inside. The place looks really nice from the gate and everything was clean. Not at all the sketchy industrial look of what I'm used to back in LA. As for customer service, the morning after I made the reservation they called me to confirm when I would move in. A day before I moved in, I called to see if we could come in on Sunday when the office was closed. The manager was super nice and helpful and mailed me a link to do the paperwork online. We would have been able to rent a free truck, but corporate discontinued truck service just the week before so we had to use our own cars which was fine. It would have been an extra perk to use their truck which I didn't expect anyway. That was the only surprise. All in all, a great experience so far and my daughter has easy roll up access to her stuff during summer school as well.

- The experience on a whole was a very great one. Only issue we had was that the parking area in front of our storage space had a long puddle which has not disappeared yet. It made it difficult for us to work around it and try not to drudge wet dirt inside while carrying heavy materials.

It would have been a better experience if someone had mentioned in advance that a security lock was needed since this was my first time using a storage unit. Customer service people were very friendly & efficient, but I waited almost 1 hour until someone returned to the office.
