- I just had a fire I booked a storage rental for the last of what I could salvage from my 3 family home. I arrived to be told by Shawn that my rental was not ready today -Saturday and to come back Monday. I have no house anymore where did he want me to leave my belongings. He offered a larger unit for a larger price I told him I do not have that many things. He offered a storage for half the size for 30.00 less. I told him I would rebook on the site I use. I went to a friend's house and rebooted the storage this time a different special for 105 for half the size of the other one. I drive back to be told that he could not give me the new rental because I declined the rental that was not ready. I told him I didn't decline it rather your company had it listed and I booked it and you still have other people's stuff inside it if you move their stuff out I will happily put mines in. This is false advertising it's not available. He told me I can not do a rental with the company. I have been using this storage facility since 2012. Shawn the manager was unhelpful and I'm filing charges with the better business bureau. Since they have been taken over by a new company I definitely do not recommend this place or Shawn. I would use 20 Mill St storage.

- I had doubts about many of the storage facilities in the Greater Metro NY/NJ area. Some do not offer 24-hr. access; few offer access from 6 a.m.to 10 p.m. They are usually too far from me to make them feasible because of numerous tolls to pay to get to them. Late last night I came across Storage Rentals of America. No matter how nice things look online, it is always advisable to actually go to the site, take a tour, and meet the manager and staff. I was able to do that without incurring any tolls. I was familiar with the area because last year I worked in Belleville and thought it was a great town offering a storage facility from the past. I was told that at one time this turn-of-the-century building housed a candle making factory. There is ample parking. The store manager, Christina, made me feel right at home. As mandated, she followed the protocols of mask-wearing, social distancing and use of hand sanitizer, which was available to anyone in various areas of the facility. Christina is on top of her game. She really knows her business from easily quoting prices according to unit size and making friendly eye contact to going over the steps needed to secure a rental unit from A to Z. She even took the time to give me a tour of this massive edifice that has landmark status and only recently was converted with the proper care to a storage facility so badly needed for city dwellers. Safety is always an issue, and I am glad that this facility has CCTV monitors throughout. I like the fact that they are able to discount the unit if you provide your own insurance to cover loss from either fire or theft. Their rentals are month-to-month; they do not lock you into any long-term contract. One caveat: they do not have public restrooms but are in the process of filling that demand. Overall, you could not find a better place where the employees really go above and beyond, making this a worthwhile experience for all. Thank you, Christina.

I literally drove past the entrance. And I didn’t know you have to drive into the actual storage to get to the elevator. But once you get past those hiccups is smooth from there. - I had an emergency move out so my options were limited. The gates don't work. So it made it harder to move my items. Inside. The halls are very clean and comfortable to walk threw. BUT.. My storage unit was so dusty from the cement. My mattress dropped and caused a thick dust cloud that reacted my asthma and also made the clothes I had on very dirty. We look like we were doing construction work , no good .The unit need to be spayed with water and whipped out before renting..

- I needed a storage unit and had limited time to get it. I contact self storage which helped me find storage rentals of America in Belleville. They contacted me right away through email with a confirmation code and then storage rentals of America contacted me the next day to confirm my information. Once I got there the process was fast, they explained everything in details, and gave me a tour. It was a great experience. Would definitely recommend and I will definitely continue to use them.
