I drove over to the other place and she had called her ahead of time (in 2 minutes) and Stacey was expecting me and showed me the unit and I signed up for it. - The summer months are busy at Public Storage. I knew at the beginning of the month I would need to rent a storage unit, but according to policy for all facilities I had to wait until 7 days prior to my date of entry to reserve a unit. That was a little stressful! Crossed my fingers and waited and made the reservation 7 days before my scheduled move. A representation called from the location and said I would need to come in and start renting the unit sooner, because she wasn't positive it would be available when I needed it. OK, that's understandable. Overall, the property is decently maintained and I appreciate the security. NOTE: Each property requires a different type of lock so each time I've rented from Public Storage, I've had to buy a different lock. NOTE: Some properties write the gate code in the Gate Code field on the contract envelope. This property (Woodbury, MN Hudson Blvd property) doesn't write the gate code on the envelope. Be sure you have the card on which the gate code is written. Overall I am satisfied w/ my experience using Public Storage.
