- I moved into Uncle Bob's storage facility last Sunday. When I arrived at the facility with my movers (who I was paying $165/hour), the elevator code I was provided did not work and I was unable to access my storage unit on the second floor. I called the 1-800 number Uncle Bob's provided and the person I spoke with told me she would file a report and someone would get in touch with me ASAP. I explained that I had movers with me and needed access to the building that night. No one called me back, so I moved my items into an unoccupied storage unt on the first floor that was the identical size to the the 2nd floor storage unit. The next day, someone from Uncle Bob's called me to tell me I had to either pay $169/month for the 1st floor storage unit (rather than the $119/month I agreed to pay for the 2nd floor unit) or move my belongings to the second floor. I told them that they hadn't kept their end of the bargain and the two options were either (1) they pay for movers to move my items to the storage unit on the second floor or (2) I keep my items in the 1st floor storage unit and pay $119. They refused and threatened to evict me from the storage facility. So not only did I incur extra costs when my movers and I could not access the second floor where my assigned storage unit was located, but now they are forcing me to pay more than the agreed-upon $119/month for a storage unit. I therefore would never use this storage facility again and would not recommend it to a friend or relative.

The location that we chose is less than 4 miles from our home. I cannot say enough about the warm greeting and knowledgeable service that we received from Kathy. After the facility tour and briefing/orientation, we had no questions and we immediately became renters. Should we have questions in the future, we will not hesitate to call Kathy.

- All the employees were always super nice and friendly. The building itself was well maintained, especially for a storage building. My one complaint was that when I made the reservation for my unit to move in (Saturday August 1), I didn't receive a phone call until Friday (July 31) at 4:30 saying I needed to come in to sign papers before I could move in and they would be closed by the time I got there to do so on Saturday. I use cta and to get there from my apartment is easily a 40 minute trek and because they were going to close at 6 I had to literally drop everything I was doing and run out of the house. It was just a massive inconvenience and they easily could've called a day or two before and I could've planned accordingly.

- When I first call to reserve a spot it was awesome that I didn't have to have a credit card get a unit. I was called backed within the hour from this location, and Tracy asked me what time I would be coming in. She was very pleasant over the phone. When I arrived to do the paper work the customer service that I received from Tracy was amazing. She sense right away that I was feeling stress and anxious. She made my day by clearlyexplaining everything regarding my contract. Thank you for this truly awesome employee. The size of the unit I reserved was perfect. Very clean office and location.
