- I have 2 items of contention. 1) I brought my own lock, but was told I HAD to purchase one of yours and I could not sell the purchased one back to Public Storage (44% is the cost of the lock in comparison to the storage unit). 2) I did not like the fact that I HAD to purchase insurance immediately. (24% of the cost of the rental is insurance). These 'surprise' expenses is what would make things better. So, that when I expect to pay $45 this is what I would walk out paying, not $76 (59% higher than anticipated). Other than this, the manager is kind and very helpful, and the place is clean and safe.
