Customer Service is top of the line. Pricing is decent for the first 3 months, but gets a bit high after that. May look into other options in a few months.

I had a great time visiting this Extra Space Storage for the first time. The staff were hilarious and very welcoming. I felt like a part of the family almost immediately. The storage unit itself was clean and the door worked smoothly and closed properly. I also like the app. It’s really convenient to be able to get the gate code or pay my bill that way, rather than having to go in or sign in every time I go to their website. The two things I don’t really care for are as follows; I’m not a fan of the gate locking us in at 10:00pm (at least that’s what we were told), it makes for a very stressful time trying to get unloaded when you feel like an axe is hanging over your head. Next is the cost of the insurance on the unit. My unit costs about $45.00/month, but the insurance is around $35.00/month. It’s nearly the same price as the entire unit! Too pricey for sure.

The process was easy and painless, employees are cordial and patient, and the amount of space, as well as the insurance policies and the locks that are made available on sight, are more than acceptable compared to past experienced I've witnessed and as this is my first time getting a storage of my own, I appreciate the capability and lovely cadence I was presented with by the staff.

Looked around for my first storage unit in the East Bay and found CSI Mini Storage to have the best rates, with good sized units and a convenient moving service. Harvey, Jose, and the rest of the local crew were all very helpful and friendly and the paperwork did not take much time at all. They provide a standard 50% off the first two months with any unit rented with a free moving service within 40 miles of their location from a residence, with two appointment times of 9am or 1pm every day of the week, though availability for time slots is on a first come first serve basis. They also prorated the end of the month as I moved in during the last few days, which I really appreciated. Agree with all the previous reviews for this place, I definitely have no regrets taking my business to CSI Mini Storage, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good storage unit in the East Bay.

I rented a 10x18 but that is not what I arrived to find. It is a triangular shaped storage which made it exceedingly difficult to modularly pack my things in. I feel like I was scammed but with the movers there with my things on a Sunday and a plane ticket the next day I didn’t have time to wait for another unit.

Finding and renting self-storage facilities in Sausalito, California is now easier through MoversCorp. Compare options and rent storage near you with just a few clicks. We provide the convenience of reserving affordable storage units online or by phone. No credit card or long-term contract is required. Consider us as your solution for finding and reserving storage facilities throughout California, including options for mini storage units and storage containers to suit a variety of needs.

The cheapest storage unit in your area may not always be the best choice. Please consider the following factors when selecting a storage unit in Sausalito, California.

  • Monthly rates are based on features such as 24/7 access, climate control, facility security, location, and overall demand in your area.

  • For household goods, the most common storage unit sizes are 5x5, 5x10, 10x10, and 10X15. For added flexibility, some companies also offer portable mini storage units for rent for temporary residential use that can be delivered to your property or hauled by you for on-site storage.

  • Many facilities offer larger unit sizes for commercial and business storage, like 10x20 or 10x30. These sizes are ideal for storing office equipment, inventory, or business records. These sizes can also accommodate vehicles, making them a great option for car storage.

  • Most storage facilities require insurance for stored items. If you don’t have your own policy, you may need to buy one through the facility, adding about $15 to $50 to your storage rental cost each month. Some places also charge a refundable deposit or an administrative fee when you move in. Always ask about these costs and refund conditions before signing a lease.

  • Storage facilities with flexible leases allow you to rent on a month-to-month basis. Be aware that storage unit price increases are common. Many customers say their rates go up after a few months, sometimes more than once a year. Since storage rentals are month-to-month, facilities can raise prices with proper notice. Ask about potential rate increases before committing to a unit.

  • The monthly rent will also depend on whether a facility offers climate-controlled units or only drive-up units. Climate-controlled units cost more than drive-up units or storage containers.

  • Most locations have digital keypad access, which provides you with your personal access code. Check with the office for availability.
  • Consider drive-up access for easier loading and unloading, especially for heavy or bulky items.

  • Some facilities may provide extra room or rental space for public use, such as areas for organizing or handling your stored items. Contact the property manager to confirm availability.

  • Check for online reviews and recommendations.

  • Ask the office about the preventive security measures for safeguarding the location.

Are there free storage deals in Sausalito, California?

Many companies offer promotions for new customers, such as a free first month. Search by your zip code or distance to locate cheap storage units that come with the first month free and other decent storage discounts. Take advantage of specials if you're a first-time renter.

How do I find the cheapest storage in Sausalito?

You can sort by price, from low to high, to find affordable options on our website. Away from the city center, you have a better chance of finding inexpensive storage rental solutions. The facility's size and amenities affect the monthly price.

What is the difference between an indoor and outdoor unit?

You have easy access to your unit when it is an outdoor unit. If the unit is indoors, you must first enter the building to get to it.

What is the difference between office hours and gate hours?

The property's operating hours are during office hours. The store manager will be on duty to help you with your questions. If you have questions or need help outside these hours, look up the property's phone number to contact the leasing office directly. The gate hours determine when you can enter the property and use your unit.
