- I had used Public Storage a few times in the past but when the rents became too high I went to a competitor. I recently moved to another part of town and was looking for another storage facility. The rates were acceptable but the security of the property was in question for me so I looked at Public Storage again to compare their rates. I was surprised to find that Public Storage rates were LOWER than the neighboring competitors and for a larger unit. The hours to access my unit were longer and the security to enter and exit the property were superior. I would recommend that you check out Public Storage if you were a former customer or a new customer. You might be as surprised as I was.

- It's just ok. The staff is nice, the units, elevator, and hallways are dirty and beat up. The rates are pretty good but read the agreement as the rate jumped from $70 month 2 to $150 months 3-5 and then $195 in month 6. In general Storage is easy to get into but usually hard to get out of. People store stuff and wind up paying a lot more for the storage then the items are worth... in my opinion it's better to sell and buy new when you need it then to store indefinitely.
