- Looked around for my first storage unit in the East Bay and found CSI Mini Storage to have the best rates, with good sized units and a convenient moving service. Harvey, Jose, and the rest of the local crew were all very helpful and friendly and the paperwork did not take much time at all. They provide a standard 50% off the first two months with any unit rented with a free moving service within 40 miles of their location from a residence, with two appointment times of 9am or 1pm every day of the week, though availability for time slots is on a first come first serve basis. They also prorated the end of the month as I moved in during the last few days, which I really appreciated. Agree with all the previous reviews for this place, I definitely have no regrets taking my business to CSI Mini Storage, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good storage unit in the East Bay.

- I am a single woman in my early 20’s renting a unit at this facility. My unit is indoors on the second floor of a long, mostly unlit hallway. I often drop off my items alone and expected a certain level of security which was not present. Upon arriving to my unit this past Monday evening, there were no cars in the facility but mine. I loaded my things into the lift to transfer to my unit and my biggest fear came to life. There was a tall, middle aged white man lurking in the long hallway as I entered the second floor of the building. He immediately began to slowly approach me, asking me if I wanted to see the jewelry and accessories he had in his unit. When I said no thank you, he continued to approach. I ran of out the building, leaving all of my things in the lift. I waited in my car for another customer to drive up and was lucky enough to encounter a kind man who escorted me to my unit to protect me from the man in the hallway. He continued to try to offer me things and approach even with the escort. It became obvious as we walked past his unit that he was living there or using it as a partial living space. I was able to finish my load but am dreading having to return. Extra space has NO 24 hour security, NO security phone number to call after hours, and obviously NO regulations over what someone can use the space for. There should not be a man living in a unit in the building, especially not one who is a threat to the safety and security of customers, especially other young women like myself. INCREDIBLY disappointed with this facility.

I was renting a smaller unit at a (slightly) more convenient place, but was paying almost twice as much! The savings alone makes up for the time to get there by bus. Otherwise, the customer service was wonderful - Both Melissa and Jordan made me feel welcome and valued as a customer . . . Which is an all-important factor to me.

They actually take PRIDE in what they do. If I could rate them 10 STARS I would, they took great care of my MOTHER & I truly APPRECIATE their help. I miss JESSICA she's also a GREAT MANAGER & JORDON was AWESOME as a DISTRICT MANAGER. JESSICA is at a NEW LOCATION but she should've been the NEW DISTRICT MANAGER. - I needed to move out of a storage facility where I had been a tenant for 40 years because the property had been sold and an office building will be constructed there. While that facility had been quite adequate for my purposes, it clearly could not compare to the Richmond Security Public Storage facility. Everything at the latter is far better and first-rate: location, construction, management, security, maintenance, etc. Although I did not want to make this move, I could not be happier to have done so.
