- I had a great time visiting this Extra Space Storage for the first time. The staff were hilarious and very welcoming. I felt like a part of the family almost immediately. The storage unit itself was clean and the door worked smoothly and closed properly. I also like the app. It’s really convenient to be able to get the gate code or pay my bill that way, rather than having to go in or sign in every time I go to their website. The two things I don’t really care for are as follows; I’m not a fan of the gate locking us in at 10:00pm (at least that’s what we were told), it makes for a very stressful time trying to get unloaded when you feel like an axe is hanging over your head. Next is the cost of the insurance on the unit. My unit costs about $45.00/month, but the insurance is around $35.00/month. It’s nearly the same price as the entire unit! Too pricey for sure.

- Like that there is good parking directly outside of the storage unit and that it is off the public road with a code to get in. The entry door lock to the block is not functioning and that is why I gave it 4 stars. There is no elevator in the block that my unit is in, probably why it was in the cheaper range for that size. Office staff were very friendly and helpful.

- We paid $213 for a 10' x 10' storage unit. We didn't know until we arrived that smaller units do not have lighting inside and were advised to bring flashlights. There are carts for use, but you have to go into the front office, give your driver's license or other form of ID that is held until you return the cart. Carts are on the upper (3rd) floor. Entry door for accessing all units is on the ground floor. There are two elevators. Make sure you read the directions on how to access the elevator; it's a five-step process. The manager is great: friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I gave 'pricing' two stars because there should be lighting inside EVERY unit, not just the more expensive units.

- OK, so, I reserved a storage unit back in the beginning of July and when I went there I did the paperwork that lasted about 45 minutes and then when I went to see my unit, it was 1/2 the size I requested and in the refrigerated section (e.g. for wine storage)! I was not interested and wanted my money back. In this whole process, I also bought a lock from them for $14.13 and had already paid a $10 deposit. The front desk person, who was really nice, said she couldn't put it back on my card and they had to have a check sent to me in 2 weeks I reluctantly accepted. I was busy for the next couple months and contacted them again September via email and physically went back to the place. The manager who was really nice as well communicated that her district manager had to help make this happen. I was told that I would have my credit early next week (why I could get credited on my cc now made no sense....actually originally not being able to get credited on my card makes absolutely no sense). I didn't. I emailed probably over 5 times to get at least the $14.13 refunded. The $10 is still not refunded and I'm writing this on Oct 10th!!! I just filed for a dispute with my credit card company to get the rest of my money back. If only I could charge for waisted time! I know this place is cheap, but trust me this experience was not worth it at all! P.S. One of their locations got broken into and they didn't have immediate security come to help prevent countless of items from being stolen.

- It's great to know that in this stale world there are some good people left. With that in mind is what you want to hear when you are shopping or looking for a location to rent from. A persons personality can tell you what kind of place you are renting from. Assurance knowing that your person property will be protected and well taken care of is another. I have rented from numerous locations but there's one clear choice why I go back to this one. Public Storage has always hired great employee's. - Looked around for my first storage unit in the East Bay and found CSI Mini Storage to have the best rates, with good sized units and a convenient moving service. Harvey, Jose, and the rest of the local crew were all very helpful and friendly and the paperwork did not take much time at all. They provide a standard 50% off the first two months with any unit rented with a free moving service within 40 miles of their location from a residence, with two appointment times of 9am or 1pm every day of the week, though availability for time slots is on a first come first serve basis. They also prorated the end of the month as I moved in during the last few days, which I really appreciated. Agree with all the previous reviews for this place, I definitely have no regrets taking my business to CSI Mini Storage, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good storage unit in the East Bay.
