Fun-Filled Infographic Guide for Mastering Your Move

How to plan a move

Moving to a new home can be both exciting and overwhelming, as you navigate the labyrinth of logistics and emotions that come with the process. But fear not, fellow adventurer! In this guide, we'll take you on a whimsical journey filled with laughter and practical tips, ensuring that your move becomes a hilarious and memorable experience. From packing your most cherished belongings to finding humor in unexpected challenges, prepare to embark on a moving adventure like no other.

Practice Procrastinating

If you aren't already a procrastinating master, be sure to perfect your skills with copious amounts of Netflix, video games and Facebook. In the future, be ready to turn to procrastination mode whenever doing work for moving comes up.

Where You Going?

Before you move, it is always a good idea to figure out exactly where you are going. Given your budget from that awesome job your B.A. got you, picking between a cardboard box or your mom's couch is going to be a tough choice.

Plan to Pack Early

Write an intricate schedule on how you plan to proceed with your packing. Promptly ignore the schedule, then go back to finishing season three of Doctor Who on Netflix.

Complain about Moving

Even though you aren't actually working on moving, complain to all of your friends, families and acquaintances about moving. Especially complain loudly to the people who can be tricked into helping you out on moving day.

Try to Sell Your Junk

Spend an entire weekend trying to sell your junk at a hopeless yard sale. You may even earn a whole $20 which will surely pay for all your time wasted planning this yard sale ordeal.

Hire Movers to Do the Work

Once you realize that nothing is getting done, give in to hiring the unsung heroes, also known as movers. Realizing all the time you just gained, begin brainstorming a comic about the adventures of a mover/super hero.

Read the Contract

If the internet has taught us anything, reading a contract is a waste of time. What's the worst that could happen if you don't read a contract? Maybe they'll charge you hundreds of dollars in extra fees, as specified in section A.2.14 of your contract.

Dumpster Dive

After realizing the cost of movers, proceed to dumpster dive for boxes. Depending on your budget, you may also need to dumpster dive for your next month's worth of food too!

Buy Moving Supplies

After coming home smelling like trash after dumpster diving with only 5 clean boxes, realize that maybe you should just buy fresh moving boxes. Don't forget to get tape, packing peanuts and a psychologist for all the therapy you'll need after the move.

Pray, Cry then Call Your Mom

The night before the move, finally realize how much work you actually have left to do. Make a sacrifice to the flying spaghetti monster, cry like a twelve-year-old girl, then call your mom in the hopes that she can bail you out.

Do Everything on Moving Day

By doing everything, we mean watch the movers do everything while crafting the perfect Facebook status about how this moving thing isn't so bad.

Party in the Dark!

Arrive at your new home to realize you've forgotten to switch all of your utilities over to your new pad!

Solemnly Swear

That you'll never, ever move again!
